Once you've connected a Microsoft Azure environment to Nerdio Compass, you can view key metrics about your Windows Cloud estate, including geographic distribution, Microsoft Entra ID users and groups, Intune policies, Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) session hosts, and Windows 365 Cloud PCs.
The overview dashboard provides an at-a-glance view of key metrics related to your environment. You can also use this view to manage snapshots.

In Nerdio Compass, navigate to Microsoft > Overview to view key metrics.

To view licenses associated with your environment, select the Licenses tab.

To view Windows 365 Cloud PCs and their associated provisioning policies, user settings, network connections and custom images, select the Windows 365 tab.

To view details of AVD host pools, session hosts, work spaces, apps, scaling plans, and image templates, select the Azure Virtual Desktop tab.
Tip
You can also view a variety of breakdowns by specific metrics (for example, session hosts by status, app groups by type, image templates by provisioning state) by selecting the applicable tile.
On any tab within the Overview section, select View raw envelope in the upper-right corner to inspect the underlying data behind the latest snapshot. The snapshot envelope displays a Summary view listing each collector category (for example, Microsoft Entra ID, Windows 365, Microsoft Intune) along with item counts and collection status, or a Raw JSON view showing the complete collected data in JSON format. Use the toggle in the top-right corner to switch between the two views.
The World Map view gives you a visual, color-coded look at where your Windows Cloud estate is deployed around the world, with a heat map overlay highlighting where activity is most concentrated.

In Nerdio Compass, navigate to Microsoft > World Map to open the World Map view.

Select the plus (+) or minus (-) icons to zoom the map in or out.

Select or deselect the Heat Density and Source Circles layers to toggle them on or off.
Everything you need to understand your organization's identity footprint lives in the Entra ID view — your users and groups, the policies that govern their access, and a bird's-eye look at how your user base breaks down.

In Nerdio Compass, either navigate to Microsoft > Reports > Entra ID, or select any of the Entra ID metrics tiles (Users, Groups, Conditional Access Policies), to open the Entra ID view.

Select the applicable tab: User Distribution, Users, Groups, or Conditional Access Policies. The Users, Groups, and Conditional Access Policies tabs each display a filterable, customizable table of records:

Use the Filters dropdowns above the results table to refine the results according to the specified criteria.

Use the Columns dropdown to customize the view and choose which metrics are displayed.

The User Distribution tab provides a visual, at-a-glance summary of your Entra ID user population.

The summary tiles at the top of the tab give you a quick read on your user base, including total users and how many are enabled, disabled, members, or guests.

The charts below break down your users by status, type, location, country, and department, so you can spot patterns in how your user base is structured.
Use the Users tab to browse your organization's Entra ID users individually, with options to filter by department, type, or status, and export the list to CSV.
The Groups tab gives you the same kind of view for Entra ID groups — filter by type, membership, or security status, and export to CSV as needed.
For visibility into your organization's security posture, the Conditional Access Policies tab shows each policy's grant controls and when it was last modified, filterable by state.
The Intune view is your hub for everything related to device management — from the devices themselves and the policies that govern them to the apps, scripts, and configurations pushed out to your users.

The Managed Devices tab gives you visibility into every enrolled device — its compliance state, OS version, make and model, and when it last checked in — so you can quickly spot devices that need attention.
The Configuration Profiles tab shows the configuration profiles pushed out to your devices, including when each was created or last changed.
The Compliance Policies tab lists the compliance policies enforced across your environment, so you can confirm your devices are being held to the standards you expect.
The Apps tab tracks Windows apps deployed through Intune, including their publishing status. Only Windows apps are included; apps for other platforms are excluded during collection.
The Enrollment Configs tab shows the enrollment restrictions and settings applied to users and devices as they enroll.
The Scripts tab lists the device scripts running in your environment, including the context they run under.
The Remediations tab shows the remediation scripts in use, so you can see what's being automatically detected and fixed across your devices.

The Windows 365 view is where you'll find everything related to your Cloud PCs — how they're provisioned, what settings your users have, how they're networked, and which images they're built from.

The Cloud PCs tab shows the status of every provisioned Cloud PC, including who it's assigned to and which service plan and provisioning policy it's tied to — a quick way to check on the health of your Cloud PC fleet.
The Provisioning Policies tab shows how your Cloud PCs get set up, including the image and sign-on method each policy uses.
The User Settings tab shows the end-user permissions configured for Cloud PCs, such as local admin rights, restore options, and self-service availability.
The Network Connections tab shows the network configurations available to your Cloud PCs, along with their health status, so you can confirm connectivity is set up correctly.
The Custom Images tab tracks the custom images you've uploaded for provisioning Cloud PCs, including their upload and OS status.
The Gallery Images tab lets you browse the Microsoft-provided images available for provisioning new Cloud PCs.

The Azure Virtual Desktop view is where you'll find everything related to your AVD deployment — from host pools and session hosts to the app groups and workspaces your users connect through, plus the images and templates used to build it all.

The Host Pools tab shows how your host pools are configured — load balancing method, session limits, and resource group — giving you a quick overview of your AVD infrastructure's setup.
The Session Hosts tab tracks the health and activity of individual session hosts, including their update state, active sessions, and assigned users, so you can catch issues before they affect end users.
The App Groups tab shows how applications are grouped and tied to specific host pools.
The Remote Apps tab lists the individual RemoteApp applications published to your users, including their launch settings and portal visibility.
The Workspaces tab shows how your app groups are organized into workspaces for end users.
The Scaling Plans tab shows the autoscale schedules applied to your host pools, useful for confirming your environment scales the way you expect.
The Gallery Images tab lets you browse the images available in your Azure Compute Gallery for building AVD session hosts.
The Image Templates tab tracks your custom image build pipelines, including their provisioning state and the gallery image each one targets.
