This procedure guides you through accessing and reviewing Citrix policy translations to Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and Windows 365 equivalents within Nerdio Compass. It shows how existing Citrix policies map to AVD and Windows 365 policy settings, facilitating policy migration and configuration planning. Before you begin, make sure you have access to Nerdio Compass with appropriate permissions to view the Citrix inventory and policies sections.
Navigate to Policies

In Nerdio Compass, navigate to Citrix > Policies to access the Policies section within the Citrix environment.
Select a Policy Group

Select the Citrix Policies tab (this tab is selected by default when you open Policies).

Optionally, use the Unfiltered policy group to view all policies without any filtering applied, displaying the complete policy set for all users and computers.

Select Azure Virtual Desktop equivalent policies to view the translated policies specific to Azure Virtual Desktop.
Review Translated Policies
The Translated Policies view gives an indication of how each Citrix policy maps to Azure Virtual Desktop and Windows 365. Fields include the Citrix policy name, its source value, the AVD equivalent, the Microsoft 365 equivalent, and implementation notes (for example, where there is no direct equivalent, or where behavior differs between platforms).

Select the Translated Policies tab to switch to the translation view, which displays the mapping between Citrix policies and their Azure Virtual Desktop and Windows 365 equivalents.
The table lists each Citrix policy alongside its Source Value, AVD Equivalent, W365 Equivalent, and implementation Notes.

Select Next to page through the translated policy settings.

Review the Notes column for each policy to determine whether any manual configuration or follow-up is needed, paying particular attention to any source settings that are not mapped to an equivalent.
Export translated policies to CSV
You can export your translated policy data in CSV format to view offline or analyze using your own tools.

Select Export CSV to export the translated policy settings to a CSV file.

In the file save dialog, browse to a local directory, enter a filename, and confirm to save the file.
Results
You have navigated through the Citrix Policies interface and reviewed the Azure Virtual Desktop equivalent policies. Based on the policy translation view, you now have a breakdown of translated settings and are aware of any source settings that are not mapped. You can use this data as a basis for planning to migrate from Citrix to Azure Virtual Desktop.
