Nerdio Compass allows you to perform a comprehensive inventory analysis of a Citrix environment, including users, catalogs, session hosts, resource assignments, and infrastructure health. In addition to preparing for migration to AVD and/or Windows 365, this data is useful for capacity planning, troubleshooting resource allocation issues, and generating compliance reports.
This procedure guides you through inventorying key metrics in your Citrix environment. Before you begin, make sure you have administrative access to Nerdio Compass, an active Citrix environment connection, and appropriate permissions to view inventory data.

In Nerdio Compass, navigate to Citrix > Inventory to access the Citrix inventory management interface.

Select the Delivery Groups & Apps tab (this tab is selected by default when you open Inventory).

Optionally, use the User or Time Zone filters to narrow the results.

Review each delivery group's included users, detected and enabled apps, time zone, and zone assignment to determine whether any action is needed.

Select Export CSV to download the current inventory data in CSV format for external analysis or reporting.

Select Columns to customize which data fields are displayed in the inventory table.
The Catalog Summary gives an indication of capacity per catalog: an indicative list of fields includes zone, session support, provisioning method, allocation type, and used/unassigned/total machine counts with a utilization percentage.

Select the Catalog Summary tab to switch to the catalog summary view, which displays aggregated information about published applications and desktops.

Optionally, use the Session Support or Provisioning filters to narrow the results.

Review each catalog's allocation, usage, and utilization to identify catalogs that are under-utilized or approaching capacity.

Select a catalog name (for example, Windows 11 Multi Random) to view detailed information for that catalog.
The Session Hosts view gives an indication of host-level health and configuration: an indicative list of fields includes catalog, delivery group, zone, OS type and version, session support, assigned user, registration state, power state, fault status, and maintenance mode.

Select the Session Hosts tab to switch to the session hosts view, displaying detailed information about individual Citrix session hosts.

Review the registration, power, fault, and maintenance status of each session host to identify any hosts that may need attention.

Select Next to navigate to the next page of session host results in the paginated table.

Select a machine name to view detailed information for that session host.

Select Columns to customize column visibility and display options for the session hosts table.

Select the Single-Session Assigned tab to switch to the single-session assigned view, displaying users assigned to single-session desktops.

Select a machine name in the results table to view detailed assignment information for that machine.

Select the Zone Health tab to switch to the zone health view, which displays the operational status and health metrics of Citrix zones.

Select the Hypervisor Connections tab to switch to the hypervisor connections view, displaying the status and configuration of hypervisor connections.

Select the Personal Desktops tab to switch to the personal desktops view, displaying dedicated desktop assignments and allocation details.

Select the Images tab to switch to the images view, displaying available machine images and their deployment status across the Citrix environment.
The Assignments & Gaps view identifies unassigned users and resource allocation issues: an indicative list of fields includes catalog, delivery group, zone, associated user, allocation type, assigned status, physical/virtual status, and Azure VM ID.

Select the Assignments & Gaps tab to switch to the assignments and gaps view, which identifies unassigned users and resource allocation issues.

Review the assignment status of each machine to identify unassigned resources or gaps that may need remediation.

Select Columns to customize column visibility and display options for the assignments and gaps table.

Select a machine name in the results table to view detailed assignment information for that machine.
You have reviewed all major inventory views in Nerdio Compass, including delivery groups and apps, catalog summaries, session host details, assignment gaps, single-session assignments, zone health, hypervisor connections, personal desktops, and machine images. You can now export filtered inventory data, customize table columns, and analyze resource allocation across the Citrix environment.
